What you will be doing as our new Electrical Site Supervisor?

The responsibilities of this Electrical Site Supervisor role include overseeing electrical work and site electricians, scoping sites and ordering materials, issuing permits and ensuring electrical safety rules are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

Job scoping in-house delivery.

  • Visit sites before schemes start to measure up and order materials.
  • Liaise with project teams on timeframe and labour requirements.
  • Write RAMS for jobs.
  • Collate site M&E drawings.

Authorised person responsibilities

  • Complete the initial electrical site safety report before each job commences.
  • Issue permits when required.
  • Oversee electricians or electrical subcontractors, issue commissioning engineers' permits and assist with the commissioning phase.
  • Complete electrical site safety audits and electrical completion paperwork.
  • Ensure safe working practices and electrical safety rules are followed by electricians on-site.
  • Inspect electrical work on completion of schemes.

Administration

  • Create job folders for individual schemes.
  • Complete red line drawings for as-builts when schemes are completed.
  • Ensure NICEIC certificates are fully completed and issued to the Qualified Supervisor for sign-off.

Key measures & targets:

  • Ensure all paperwork is completed as required.
  • Completed permits and RAMS which will be audited on-site inspections.
  • Ensure the Outlook calendar is kept up to date.
  • Ensure all drawings are procured and issued to site teams for commencement of work.
  • Ensure all drawings are red-lined and amended correctly before returning to the close-out team before delivery milestone 5.

Key relationships:

  • Electrical team, including Senior Electrical manager, site supervisors and electricians.
  • @One alliance Project teams, @One Lead AP.
  • Regional contact for accommodation and training arrangements
  • Buying department and wholesalers

Person Specification:

The successful candidate is likely to meet all the following criteria:

Essential

  • Understanding of permit systems
  • Good understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
  • Experience in scoping jobs and ordering materials
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, panel drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Industrial M&E Knowledge
  • Good literacy skills
  • 18th edition (Apprenticeship) qualified electrician
  • CSCS ECS card
  • Test and Inspection (2391 or equivalent)
  • Proactive thinking with an enthusiastic character
  • Well organised and able to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent people management skills

Desirable

  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • AP12 course
  • Experience in the water/wastewater industry
  • COMPEX
