Integrated Operational Solutions (I0S) Alliance – Part of the Anglian Water network, the IOS was set up in 2015 to concentrate on water recycling solutions and the clean water base. The maintenance and refurbishment of the key infrastructure is managed by our partners Barhale, Kier and Morrisons they ensure everything is maintained and improvements made where necessary to ensure the infrastructure's longevity and effectiveness.
The Role:
As a Designer, you'll be working within the Anglian Water team, supporting them in providing support to our engineering teams and liaising between the design and delivery teams to ensure that designs are carried out in line with Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations, water industry standards and consideration to cost-efficient solutions.
You will need to be able to understand operations in any part of the water and water recycling sector asset base and be able to collaborate to communicate a workable outcome for others to construct clearly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and discover problems, develop insight, and then provide a focused definition.
- Take account of any pre-construction information, eliminate foreseeable health & safety risks to anyone affected by the project and take steps to reduce or control any risks that cannot be eliminated.
- Always applying sound engineering judgement, you'll aim to drive and implement innovative ways of working as you provide and modify design for construction teams, contractors, and the client
Person Specification:
- The successful candidate is likely to meet all the following criteria:
Essential
- A Degree in a relevant technical field and membership of the relevant professional body
- Experience as a Designer in the construction/ water industry including civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering works.
- A full driving licence
