Trainee Accounts Assistant
The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Trainee Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting the finance team with day-to-day activities that will assist in the completion of monthly management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of month end journals
- Maintain monthly staff time allocation
- Prepare VAT returns
- Assist regions with cost transfer journals
- Prepare WIP, debt and retention reconciliations
- Assist with the production of the management accounts
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Support the wider finance time as requested

Person Specification:
Essential
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite

- Good communication skills
Desirable
- AAT Level 2
- Experience in a similar role
